WINKLER AND DISTRICT UNITED WAY DISTRIBUTES $10,000
FEB. 27, 2019—The Winkler and District United Way had the pleasure today of presenting 20 non-profit organizations in our area with grants of $500 each. That's $10,000 in total going to help organizations that provide vital services and programs to local residents!
The funds represent the proceeds from our 2018-2019 campaign. That campaign included donation drop-off points, online giving, and payroll deductions from participating businesses and their staff.
We're so thankful to everyone who sought us out to donate in this year of change. The new board is now hard at work on plans for the 2019-2020 campaign, which will include a few fun events in the months ahead leading up to the kick-off in September.
